Using Infographics for Quick Information
Infographics are helpful tools to spread out information on a topic in a quick way and in a easy way to understand. I was confused at first what the difference between a Newsletter was - which you can read about in my last post - and a infographic. A Newsletter can contain an infographic to organize information better, but they are about a specific topic or organization, where infographics are a short and easy way to understand any topic.
I found these two infographics that were great examples on how a broad topic can be understood and explain in a small amount of words. First one was explaining how tariffs work with an example
I appreciated this example because it was easy to follow, and using an example made it easy to understand, also the color scheme and visuals relate to the topic which makes it visually pleasing. The second example is on how different genres of music can affect us. You can find the infographic at The Purple Tide. I liked this example because you learn about something new, and you can use it in everyda life, and it is easy to understand. If you are interested in creating your own infographic, there are plenty free websites you can use, but my go to is always Canva. Not only do they have templates for every idea, but it is a site that you can make any poster on, not just infographics. The best part about it, is that they have plenty of images, and graphics, to make your poster show your creativity.
I made my own infographic on Canva, that explains what kinds of questions you should ask at an interview. Canva - Questions to ask in a Job Interview. I hope this was helpful!
