Final thoughts - Business Com.
We have reached the end! I wanted to take this opportunity to mention other sources I have used in the duration of this class like Padlet. Padlet is a site that is really good for collaboration and team ideas. People can make many posts on a padlet board and respond to other peoples posts. It is super accessible, and easy to navigate! For many assignments, we needed to conduct our own job search, and a tool that I used consistently was Indeed. If you already have a profile set up, it can find jobs in your area or a area that you choose, but if you don't have a profile set up, you can quickly use it to search up jobs in a specific place, it just won't be specific to your needs like pay ranges, work hours, or requirements. I do see myself using these tools in the future to help me with my job hunt, and using padlet in a team setting either in other classes or even in a team at my future job!
What I really enjoyed about this class was the pacing of everything. I also believed the amount of work given throughout the class was good per week. I believe the Cengage assignments are really useful also and I liked that I could try multiple times in different scenarios to really understand the content. I also liked that tuesdays are the due days and the days that we start new modules. It isn't new to me since I have had this professor before, and I think it really works for me. The thing that challenged me were the pieces of writings we had to do like the Newsletter, Infographic and even the Resume and Cover Letter. I believe that it was challenging first off because we have to use this professional language that I never have used before, and also using terms found in a job ad within the resume is difficult because you don't want it to sound like you copied and pasted from the ad to your resume. Writing was never my strong suit anyway. Overall I believe this class helped me understand that small details matter and putting in work with result in positive results.
